Connecting an Edge Gateway to the Server and Entering PLCs
Important
Pay strict attention to the security notices for using the CODESYS Edge Gateway.
Tip
The Edge Gateway communicates with the server via the Secure WebSocket Protocol on Port 443 (HTTPS). The Edge Gateway connects to the same host and port as the web application (browser) and the CODESYS Automation Server Connector (CODESYS plug-in).
Tip
If errors occur when connecting the Edge Gateway to the CODESYS Automation Server, then it may be because the system time of the device on which the Edge Gateway is running is not set correctly.
Windows (32-bit / 64-bit)
The gateway supplied in CODESYS includes the extension as the Edge Gateway.
